Based on Hero MotoCorp's July-September 2026 results, reported by Autocar Professional on 28 October 2026. Summarised in our own words.
Hero MotoCorp reported results for July to September 2026 on 28 October. It sold 18.68 lakh units, up 10.47% from 16.91 lakh a year earlier.
Two profit numbers
- Consolidated net profit was Rs 1,860.55 crore, up 40.85%. Consolidated revenue from operations was Rs 14,970.50 crore, up 22.52%.
- Standalone net profit was Rs 1,456.22 crore, up only 4.55%. Standalone revenue was Rs 14,687.43 crore, up 21.12%.
The gap is partly explained by an exceptional gain of Rs 397 crore in the consolidated figures. It came from the company's share of an associate's profit, after a change in its stake following a share issue by that associate.
Other news
The board approved an investment of up to Rs 300 crore in HMCL Netherlands B.V. over two years. The money will fund its subsidiaries in Colombia and Brazil.
What this means for you
- Sales rising about 10% suggests demand for motorcycles and scooters remains healthy, which supports showroom and service jobs.
- When you read a profit headline, check whether it is standalone or consolidated and whether it includes one-time gains.
The report does not give details on rural demand, electric vehicles or staffing.
